Get Lit! Getting Closer by the Minute
If you have nothing going on during tax week (April 11-17), consider taking a trip to Spokane for the annual literary bash extraordinaire, Get Lit!. This year the festival features such luminaries as Charles Baxter, Jane Smiley, William Dietrich, Christopher Howell, Paul Roberts, & Brenda Miller. I haven't spent much time in Spokane, but I am getting very excited about being part of this amazing fete, where I will be paneling about the submission process, reading with Kate Trueblood, and salon-ing with poets Ken Letko, Sam Green, Kathy Fagan, and Oliver de la Paz.
April in the high desert: there's nothing like it. Come visit the garbage-eating goats in Riverfront Park! Chow down at Mary Lou's Milk Bottle! And, if you drive from Seattle, you're in for a special treat: the horse sculpture along I-90 as you head over the Columbia near Vantage, WA.
Hope to see you there!
