or should I say choking, though not in the sense you think! Am working on a poem about artichokes. They are quite a lovely vegetable, are they not? And loaded with antioxidants. Who knew?
Library Journal calls Martha Silano's latest book, The Little Office of the Immaculate Conception, "sage, engaging, and rapturously droll." Featured on Garrison Keilor's The Writer's Almanac and named an Academy of American Poets Noted Book of the Year, The Little Office is a roaring, roiling romp through eight billion years of cosmic history. The conception the title refers to is not only that of a baby but of our universe. Available at Amazon.com or from your local independent book seller.

Artichokes rock! I once directed a play in Chicago called Art-I-Choke.
What was Art-I-Choke about? Did it have any dancing artichokes in it?
