It's the half-way point between the day I found out I would have a book and the day the book appears in print. Just about the right time, I figure, to start thinking about SWAG.
I'm thinking magnets, keychains, bookmarks, & postcards of aliens, rocket ships, and flying saucers carrying my book around with them. If you're lucky enough to be heading to DC in 2011, or if you live near Seattle, then you're almost certain to land yourself some cool alien swag if you come to one of my readings.

How cool. I'm so happy for you. Great swag ideas. Let me know when the date is closer and I'd be happy to help promote in the Tacoma/ Puyallup area. :D
Planning on making it to DC, yes. So please reserve my swag!
Hi David,
Yay! I will definitely reserve you an alien keychain.
Definitely want to the know the details on how to get the book and the swag in DC!!
Hey Sandy - my book (and sometimes I) will be hanging out at the Saturnalia Books Booth (Book Fair). I will post details about my off-site reading and Book Fair signing time as the date draws near. I hope I get a chance to meet you in person! And I will make sure to save an alien keychain for you (I just ordered 50from the AREA 51 website).
In addition to the swag, I also require a poem titled Alien Keychain.
No rush. February is fine.
David: Do I have to title the poem Alien Keychain, or could I perhaps find a way to slip one of these little gadgets unobstrusively into the body of a poem?
Hey Kimberlee--For some reason your comment got lost in blog purgatory for several hours. Thanks for your kind words and willingness to help set up The Little Office down in Tacoma. Is there a nice indy bookstore for me to read at? I love an excuse to visit the Museum of Glass!
